Is it safe to use khadi natural hair color if I have allergies?Updated 17 days ago

Our hair colors are made from 100% plant-based ingredients and contain no chemical additives, which makes them generally well tolerated. However, just like with food, natural cosmetic products can sometimes cause allergic reactions or sensitivities, even though the risk is much lower than with conventional hair color.

To be on the safe side, you can do a patch test:

Mix a small amount of color, apply it to the inside of your elbow and behind your ear on your neck, and cover with a bandage. After 60–120 minutes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and observe the area for about 48 hours. Slight redness is not a cause for concern, as plant-based hair color naturally stimulates blood circulation.

Because contact allergies can occur even if you’ve never had a reaction to the same ingredient before, watch for symptoms beyond mild itching or tingling. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us.
